The Heart Mountain AR mobile app is designed to be used by visitors to the Heart Mountain National Historic Landmark and Interpretive Center in Powell, Wyoming– a World War II Japanese American Confinement site.
“Journey to Greatness” is an app designed to help students discover how the challenges they might face today can be overcome by learning how heroes from our past, Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, and Martin Luther King, Jr., overcame similar challenges when they were young.
The New Philadelphia AR Tour is an app that uses augmented reality mobile technology to interpret an important historical landmark. The app enables visitors to view 3D recreations of historical buildings at the New Philadelphia National Historic Landmark in Pike County, Illinois overlaid onto the current landscape in their original locations.
The Jenkins and Blanks Lot App enables visitors at the Lincoln Home in Springfield, Illinois to see the Underground Railroad activities of Lincoln’s neighbor Jameson Jenkins. Visitors view a special AR-enabled cube, installed at the National Park site, with their mobile device, and can see historical animations projected onto the present-day landscape.
